What We Don’t Need
I received a comment from the blog Nancy Goldfarb Thinks. It linked back to a post where Nancy wrote:
In the last 60 years the KKK Klu Klux Klan killed 6 people compared to William Ayers’ group, the Weathermen, which murdered 7 people and attempted to murder 5 more when they fire bombed the home of a judge in the middle of the night, when his innocent children were asleep in the home. In 2001 Ayers told the New York Times he is sorry they did not do more! Sorry that he did not murder more people. . .
I posted a comment on her blog asking where she got the statstic of 6 KKK murders in the last 60 years. I had done a quick search on Google and Wikipedia and came up with at least 20 murders since 1950 – maybe more. My comment was deleted with no response.
This is exactly what is not needed. There is no need to embellish to illustrate the seriousness of the crimes of Bill Ayers and Weather Underground. I really didn’t need to research the statistic because common sense will tell you that the Klan has killed more than 6 people in the last 60 years.
Nancy, please provide the source for your statistic. If it differs with what I found, then there will be a reason and we can figure out what it is. If I see no source, I can only assume it is made up.
